Donations to SGOMA

St. George Orthodox Military Association (SGOMA) is always looking for generous people willing to donate to our organization to help us in our goal and mission to assist our Eastern Orthodox Christians serving in the U.S. Armed Forces around the World. We know that in today's economy donations are down, however we will always welcome any size donation no matter how small or large. Please know that all donations will be used to help our troops.

We are currently in  need to the following types of donations:

• Monetary Donations - to assist with administrative costs (website, mailings, packaging, postage, printing, advertisement, phone), buying needed books, bibles, supplies and materials to ship to our Troops,
  

• Book Donations - we would like to have a supply of books on hand to put into care packages for our Troops. If you have any books, in good shape, that pertain to Orthodoxy, we would be more than happy to accept then as a donation.

• Supply Donations - we would be more than willing to accept any donated supplies to send off in the care packages to our troops. Items could include: toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, packaged goodies (candies, snacks), current magazines, pre-paid phone cards, personal greetings cards (especially from children), small Orthodox Icons, small Orthodox Crosses, music CD's, DVD's, batteries, small electronic items (CD players, radios, clocks, iPod's).
  

• Special Skills - Do you have a special skill that could be useful to the SGOMA? We are currently looking for anyone who possesses a special skill and will be willing to donate their time and talents to the SGOMA. Will will provide you with a tax deduction form for the cost of your specific service and time. We are currently looking for people with some of the following skills:  Computer Programing, Web-page Designer, Graphic Artist, Printer, Advertisement, and Federal and Corporate Grant Writer. 
  

Are my donations Tax Deductible?

Yes, all donations to the SGOMA (monetary, tangible, or services) are tax deductible. SGOMA is a IRS 501(c) non-profit organization. You will receive a letter with your donation information to submit with your IRS Tax Forms.

I know a needy Orthodox Service Member, how can I get them a Care Package?

If you know of any Orthodox Service Member who is in need of a Care Package or a specific need (Orthodox Study Bible, Morale Letters, Icon, etc.) please send us a email and let us know their complete Name, Rank, Mailing Address, and what they are in need of. You can send that information to us by clicking here
