Liturgical Information

As one of  the Saint George Orthodox Military Association's missions we try to provide our Orthodox Troops with current and relevant Liturgical information and resources. One of our major goals is to keep a current listing of Orthodox Reader Services for our Orthodox Readers in the Military to utilize, either while on deployment or at their home duty station, that are not near any Orthodox Chaplains or Parishes.

As a reminder to our Orthodox Readers, when you are deployed it is important for you to get in contact with the Orthodox Chaplain in "country" and inform him of your desires to conduct Orthodox Reader Services where you are stationed. They will work with you and assist you in your endeavors as an Orthodox Reader, and they may also have the most current Reader Services texts for you to use. If you are having problems locating an Orthodox Chaplain in "country" during your deployment please contact SGOMA via email and let us know. We will attempt to find out if and where an Orthodox Chaplain may be to assist you.
